Deputy Division
Sheriff Wooten has entered into a partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and Sentara for providing full time deputies at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. He helped secure this funding during negotiations.

School Resource Officers
Sheriff Wooten secured funding for an additional 4 School Resource Officers (SRO’s) that allowed the Sheriff’s Office to cover both high schools, both middle schools, HL Trigg and the NEAAAT School. There are also 2 deputies that float between 7 elementary schools.

Deputy Security Guards
Sheriff Wooten has entered into a partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and DSS to provide to special deputy security officers to provide security Monday through Friday at the Pasquotank County Department of Social Services.

The 2026 primary election is Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Any voter in line at their assigned polling place at 7:30 p.m. will be able to vote.
North Carolina voters will be asked to show photo ID when they check in to vote. Learn more: Voter ID.
Early voting begins February 12th, 2026.

There are no Democrat challengers for this election. The final decision for Pasquotank County Sheriff will be made during the March 3rd, 2026 Primary. The winners name will appear on the ballot in November with no opposition by default.
You can register to vote and vote provisionally the same day during early voting. Bring two forms of ID with your name and address.
